International Master's in Environmental Engineering

We are at a pivotal moment in history, during which the global environmental problems we face today are the steepest challenges we have ever known. We urgently need engineering experts from all over the world to help improve the environmental situation and promote the sustainable use of resources. Our graduates work in the fields of environment, energy, climate protection, sustainability and resource efficiency in almost all sectors.

Academic requirements

Equivalence is considered for studies including at least 50% of the subject groups mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (MINT)

Minimum GPA

grade point average of 2.5 or better according to the German grading system

English requirements

An English language certificate at a level B2 (CEFR) is required for the application.

German requirements

non-German speaking students must provide a German language certificate at level A2 (CEFR). During their studies, a German course at level B1 is mandatory for this group. For German speaking students, an additional C1 conversation course in English is required instead.

Accepted bachelor fields

Environmental Protection, Climate Neutral Energy Systems, Water Management Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Energy and Water Management, or an equivalent degree in the field of environmental engineering or a related field
