What this is

A merit scholarship, not a discount coupon

ThinkMile created this scholarship so academically strong students can access structured Germany application support without the full cost becoming a barrier.

Selected students receive the normal Mentor Pack scope for their chosen intake while paying only a small scholarship contribution. ThinkMile covers the remaining value through the merit scholarship initiative.

This is not a INR 1,000 consultancy package. It is the actual Mentor Pack awarded through a limited merit-based scholarship.

German GPA

What does German GPA 1.5 mean?

Lower is stronger in the German system

German universities commonly use a grading scale where 1.0 is excellent. That means 1.3 is stronger than 1.5, and 1.8 is weaker than 1.5 for this scholarship threshold.

ThinkMile's German grade calculator estimates the conversion using your achieved CGPA or percentage, highest possible grade, and minimum passing grade. The result is provisional until documents are reviewed.

Calculate My German GPA

Example eligibility

The threshold includes 1.5 exactly.

Verified German GradeScholarship eligibility
1.0Eligible to apply
1.3Eligible to apply
1.5Eligible to apply
1.51Does not meet this cohort's GPA threshold
1.8Does not meet this cohort's GPA threshold
Meeting the GPA threshold makes you eligible to be considered. Scholarship awards depend on successful document verification and availability within the relevant cohort.

Verification

Why ThinkMile verifies documents

Academic records

Transcript and degree or provisional evidence help confirm the marks you entered.

Grading scale

The scholarship depends on the university grading system, not only the score typed into a calculator.

Fair selection

Verification keeps the scholarship merit-based and consistent across universities.

Providing incorrect or manipulated academic information may result in rejection or cancellation of the scholarship. The calculator result should not be treated as final until reviewed.
Selection

Eligible does not automatically mean selected

Final selection depends on

Successful academic verification
Completeness of the scholarship application
Availability within the applicable intake or cohort

Why seats are limited

Mentor Pack involves real application and mentorship support from the ThinkMile team. To maintain quality for selected students, only a limited number of scholarship places can be offered for each intake.

20 scholarship places for Summer 2027

Payment

Why INR 1,000?

A scholarship contribution, not the service price

The INR 1,000 amount is a commitment contribution for selected students. It is not the market price of the support. The remaining Mentor Pack value is covered through the ThinkMile Merit Scholarship.

Applying costs nothing

You do not pay INR 1,000 when submitting the application. Payment happens only after your documents are verified, the scholarship is awarded, and you choose to accept the scholarship.

FAQ

Scholarship questions, answered

1

Who is eligible for the ThinkMile Merit Scholarship?

Students planning Germany applications may apply if their German-equivalent GPA is 1.5 or better and they can complete the required profile, academic, document, language-status, APS-status, and scholarship-term checklist items.

2

Is German GPA 1.5 mandatory?

Yes. The current scholarship threshold is German GPA 1.5 or better. In German grading, lower numbers are stronger, so 1.5 qualifies and 1.51 does not meet the threshold.

3

My calculator result shows 1.5. Am I automatically selected?

No. The calculator result is provisional. ThinkMile must verify your academic documents and scholarship seats are limited.

4

How is my German GPA calculated?

The estimate uses your achieved CGPA or percentage, highest possible grade, and minimum passing grade. ThinkMile then verifies the conversion against your academic records and grading-scale evidence.

5

What if my university uses percentage instead of CGPA?

You can enter the percentage, maximum possible percentage, and minimum passing percentage in the German grade calculator. Upload grading-scale proof so the conversion can be reviewed.

6

What grading-scale proof should I upload?

Use university-issued evidence showing the maximum grade and minimum passing grade, such as the grading-scale page of your transcript, handbook, marksheet note, or official university grading document.

7

Can final-year students apply?

Yes, if they can provide appropriate academic records and provisional evidence for verification. The dashboard accepts degree or provisional certificate evidence.

8

Can graduates apply?

Yes. Recent graduates and graduates preparing for Germany applications can apply if they meet the GPA threshold and document requirements.

9

Do I need APS before applying?

The scholarship checklist collects APS status. If you already have the APS certificate, upload it. If not, provide your current APS status accurately.

10

Do I need IELTS before applying?

The checklist asks for language status. You can provide IELTS, TOEFL, German, MOI, or your current status if a final document is not yet available.

11

Does applying cost INR 1,000?

No. Applying costs nothing. The INR 1,000 scholarship contribution is paid only after verification, selection, and acceptance.

12

Is the INR 1,000 refundable?

ThinkMile will share the applicable payment and refund terms with the scholarship offer instructions before you accept. Do not pay until you are selected and comfortable with those terms.

13

What happens if I don't accept before the deadline?

Scholarship offers have a stated acceptance deadline. If an offer expires, the place may be released for another applicant.

14

Does the scholarship include Premium Package services?

No. The scholarship provides Mentor Pack support. It does not upgrade the student to the Premium Package.

15

Can I upgrade to Premium later?

The pricing page states that students can start with Mentor Pack and later map the next step based on stage and remaining work. Upgrade details should be discussed with ThinkMile before assuming Premium coverage.

16

How many scholarships are available?

Scholarship seats are limited by intake. When an active cohort is open, the page shows the configured capacity for that cohort.

17

Can I apply again for another intake?

The system supports one application per cohort. A future intake policy depends on the scholarship cohort opened for that intake, so do not assume repeat eligibility without checking the current terms.

18

What happens if my verified GPA is different from my estimate?

ThinkMile uses the verified academic record and grading-scale evidence for the final decision. If the verified grade is above the threshold, the applicant may not qualify for that cohort.

19

Can ThinkMile cancel the scholarship if documents are incorrect?

Yes. Incorrect or manipulated academic information may result in rejection or cancellation. The scholarship is merit-based, so document accuracy matters.

20

Are university application fees included?

No. Official university, uni-assist, APS, visa, blocked account, insurance, translation, courier, and external examination costs are separate from ThinkMile support.

Your academic performance could earn you ThinkMile support.

If your German-equivalent GPA is 1.5 or better, complete the scholarship checklist and let ThinkMile verify your eligibility.
