Our Story
Think Mile was born from personal experience. Our founder, Ankit, went through the demanding process of applying to German universities and saw how confusing and overwhelming it can be for students in India, especially without a clear, honest guide in their corner.
Ankit moved to Germany in 2017 for a Master's in Embedded Systems at TU Chemnitz. In 2019 he received a DAAD STIBET scholarship for academic excellence. His thesis focused on gait analysis for early dementia detection: work that combined Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and healthcare. Today he is a Data Scientist in Leipzig and a TU Chemnitz Ambassador.
After helping friends and seniors navigate their own applications, he realised most Indian consultancies were commission-driven, pushing students toward expensive private universities they simply did not need. Think Mile was his answer: honest, personalised guidance at a fair price. Today we have placed over 500+ students at free German public universities.

I moved to Germany in 2017 for a Master's in Embedded Systems at TU Chemnitz. In 2019 I received a DAAD STIBET scholarship for academic excellence. My thesis, on gait analysis for early dementia detection using Computer Vision and Machine Learning, showed me how powerful the right research environment can be. That experience still shapes how I think about matching students to the right programme.
I started Think Mile because I kept watching friends get pushed toward expensive private universities they simply did not need. Indian students were being poorly served by commission-driven consultancies who had no stake in whether the fit was right, only in whether the seat was sold. I knew I could do it differently: honest advice, public universities, no commissions.
I am now a Data Scientist based in Leipzig, and I still personally review every profile that comes through Think Mile. That is not a tagline. It is why we intentionally stay small. You will never be handed off to an agent. The person you message is the person who will guide you from first consultation to visa approval.
