Continuing education: Four‑semester study programme for students without a paper background but with a natural or engineering sciences Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science), requiring one year of professional experience. Consecutive programme: Three‑semester study programme for students with a degree in Paper Process Technology (no tuition fee). Courses include paper technology fundamentals, stock preparation, paper physics, minerals, scientific writing, intercultural communication, chemical engineering, automation, recycled fibres, coating, biofibres, general management, automation and digitalisation, paper machine technology, paper chemistry, practical research training, elective courses, design of experiments and statistics, circular economy, and Master’s thesis.

Academic requirements

For the continuing education course: proof of at least one year or more of professional experience after the first Bachelor's degree

Minimum GPA

A grade point average of at least 2.5 (equivalent to the German grading system)

English requirements

Proof of good knowledge of spoken and written English for non‑native English speakers. This can be demonstrated by one of the following: attaining above‑average results in the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) that correspond to a current minimum of 80 points on the Internet‑based test, passing the IELTS with results corresponding to a current minimum of 6.0 points, proving that the language of instruction of your Bachelor's degree programme was in English.
