Programme Overview

The MSc Chemical Engineering focuses on chemical conversion of materials, technical processes and equipment, modern methodological procedures, chemical reaction engineering techniques for energy storage and conversion, sustainable chemical processes and photochemical reactors, and energy-efficient separation methods. Students learn in an international environment. The programme aims to deepen and complement scientific and methodological qualifications, enabling independent work on complex problems in chemical and process engineering. Graduates are qualified for work in research, science, development, industry, higher education, and research institutes.

Admission Requirements

Academic requirements: Deadline: Application periods: 1 February to 15 March for the following winter semester 15 October to 15 November for the following summer semester
Minimum GPA: final grade of the Bachelor's degree of 3.0 or better
English requirements: Proof of English language competence at Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR) is required through the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL; min. 95), the IELTS (min. 5.5) or any comparable proof. No test is needed from native speakers.
