Master's Programme in Mathematics (MSc)

This master's programme builds on a previous mathematics degree and leads students toward current mathematical research. Students deepen their knowledge in a chosen specialization while also taking courses in a minor subject or additional mathematical electives.

Academic requirements

Good Bachelor's degree (or equivalent). Applicants must show proof of academic achievements equivalent to the Bachelor's degree programme in Mathematics at the University of Regensburg.

Minimum GPA

minimum overall grade of 2.50

English requirements

English at CEFR level B2 is required. Equivalent TOEFL or IELTS proof is accepted.

Accepted bachelor fields

Admission requires a completed university degree in mathematics or a related subject with at least six semesters of standard study time. Applicants must also prove advanced mathematical knowledge worth at least 18 ECTS corresponding to the advanced module in the University of Regensburg's bachelor's degree in mathematics.
