Technomathematics (Industrial Mathematics)

The international master's programme in Industrial Mathematics is an English-language specialization within the master's programme Technomathematics. It combines applied mathematics, scientific computing, data-science-related computer science components, and applications from natural sciences and engineering.

Academic requirements

Conditions can be imposed with a maximum of 30 ECTS credit points.

Minimum GPA

grade point average of 3.0 or better

English requirements

English proficiency is required. The Industrial Mathematics degree page gives TOEFL minimum scores of 550 paper-based, 215 computer-based, or 79 internet-based; the International Office additionally requires English skills at least at CEFR level B2 for the English-language specialization.

German requirements

Knowledge of German is an advantage.

Accepted bachelor fields

Applicants should bring 100 credit points from mathematical courses and 20 credit points from a minor subject. The general Technomathematics comparability rule names minors such as structural mechanics and statics, chemistry, electrical engineering and information technology, physics, and technical mechanics.
