Programme Overview

A joint international master's programme that integrates different aspects of the food system across three European academic institutions. It combines food-system science with entrepreneurial elements, project work with industry partners, and mobility across consortium universities.

Admission Requirements

Academic requirements: You will need to pass an entrepreneurship test as well as a selection interview during the application process.
Minimum GPA: No fixed minimum GPA is published on the current official programme page.
English requirements: English B2. The official consortium admission requirements list TOEFL iBT at least 90, IELTS Academic at least 6.5, or a degree taught entirely in English in specified countries as accepted evidence.
Accepted bachelor fields: Bachelor's degree with a profile in natural or agricultural sciences or an equivalent degree of 180 ECTS. The official programme consortium also states that prior degrees in agricultural sciences, biological or life sciences, food science, chemistry, food safety, nutrition, economics and management, or other relevant fields may be considered.

Tuition fee: 9,000 EUR per academic year for EU students and 18,000 EUR per academic year for non-EU students as the official EIT Food participation fee; the fee covers tuition fees at participating universities.
Semester contribution: 174.50 EUR semester contribution at the University of Hohenheim for summer semester 2026; semester fees at partner universities may differ in later study phases.
