Interdisciplinary doctoral programme on Buddhism in its historical, cultural, and social contexts, hosted at LMU and designed for research across Buddhist studies and related Asian or religion-oriented fields.

Academic requirements

excellent degree ("Magister Artium", "Diplom", "Staatsexamen", Master of Arts [with thesis], "Maitrise", "Laurea", etc.) or an excellent BA degree in exceptional cases

Requires an excellent previous degree in Buddhist studies, the study of religions, Asian cultural studies, Asian philosophy, or a closely related discipline.
