BA in Social Work (transnational)

A transnational bachelor's programme in social work connecting the Arab/Jordanian and European/German contexts. It aims to prepare students for independent professional action in social-work practice using scientific knowledge and methods in national and transnational settings.

Academic requirements

Academic admission requirements for enrolment in the pre-year at GJU: General secondary certificate (Jordanian Tawjihi or any other equivalent certificate). Degree: 70%. Academic admission requirements for enrolment at THWS: Passed pre-year courses or German higher entrance qualification. Every qualification must be checked individually, depending on the educational background.

English requirements

English language proficiency at level B2 at the beginning of the programme.

German requirements

Demonstrating B1-level proficiency in the German language is mandatory through submission of passed German courses at GJU throughout the pre-year for enrolment at THWS. Before the fifth semester, demonstrating B2-level proficiency in the German language is mandatory through submission of passed German courses at GJU.
