Ruhr University Bochum's Master of Computer Science is a research-oriented English-language programme that builds on core computer-science fundamentals and allows students to deepen interests in advanced areas of the discipline. Admission Requirements

Academic requirements: Special qualification determined by committee based on documents (CV, letter of motivation, academic work sample, letter of recommendation).

English requirements: Proof of English at at least C1 CEFR is required. The official faculty page accepts IELTS Academic 7.0 or higher, TOEFL iBT 100 or higher, CAE C1 Advanced B with 193 points or more, or CAE C2 Proficiency C with 200 points or more; certain documented exemptions apply.
Accepted bachelor fields: Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science of at least 6 semesters and 180 CP, with at least 50 CP in fundamental areas equivalent to the RUB B.Sc. Computer Science modules and at least 18 CP in fundamentals of mathematics.
