Intelligent Mechatronic Systems

This master's programme focuses on intelligent and networked systems at the interface of mechanics, electronics, and computer science. It adds artificial intelligence, machine learning, and intelligent control systems to advanced mechatronics training.

Academic requirements

The general requirement is that an applicant holds an academic qualification that would enable him or her to study the chosen subject in his or her home country. International applicants who do not hold a German university entrance qualification (a German high school certificate): In order to examine the equivalence of their university entrance qualifications, applicants should submit their qualifications to the 'Studienkolleg – Center for International Students' in Konstanz.

Minimum GPA

A grade of 2.5 or better in the bachelor's degree (German grading scale).

English requirements

Good command of English at least at CEFR B2 level is required.

Accepted bachelor fields

Applicants need a domestic or foreign bachelor's degree with 210 ECTS, or at least 180 ECTS with conditions. The first degree must have at least 50% engineering content and applicants must demonstrate professional aptitude for the programme.
