Mobile Robotics

The MSc Mobile Robotics is a research-oriented programme focused on probabilistic and learning-based techniques for mobile robots. It trains students in perception, localisation, mapping, planning, manipulation, and interaction for fields such as agricultural robotics, service robotics, and autonomous vehicles.

Academic requirements

Background in mathematics, programming (e.g. Python), and basic engineering skills.

Minimum GPA

At least 2.5 in the German grading system or a local equivalent.

English requirements

English at minimum CEFR B2. The official programme page lists TOEFL PBT 575, TOEFL iBT 90, or IELTS 6.5, with exemptions for native speakers, certain school-leaving qualifications, and fully English-taught prior degrees.

Accepted bachelor fields

Applicants need an excellent bachelor's degree in computer science, geodesy, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a similar field. The official programme page also requires at least 18 ECTS in mathematics, at least 6 ECTS in programming, a total of 26 ECTS across mathematics, programming, engineering sciences, physics, computer science, or geodesy, and a bachelor's thesis worth at least 10 ECTS.
