German Language and Literature (binational)

Binational master's programme in German Studies offered with the University of Szeged, combining advanced work in German language, literature, and cultural studies with a double-degree pathway and an international perspective.

Academic requirements

Proof of two foreign languages at level B1: either Latin or Ancient Greek and a modern foreign language or two modern foreign languages (one of them English!)

Minimum GPA

No fixed minimum GPA is published.

English requirements

No separate English admission certificate is published. The programme requires proof of two foreign languages at CEFR B1 level, and English can count as one of those foreign languages.

German requirements

Seminars and lectures are held in the German language. The Master's thesis needs to be written in the German language.

Requires a completed bachelor's degree in German Studies or a subject considered academically equivalent.
