Engineering Sciences (Mechanical & Plastics Engineering / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering & Information Technology)

This English-language Master of Engineering deepens prior engineering knowledge through advanced interdisciplinary study, a practical project, and a master's thesis. Students specialise in electrical engineering and information technology, mechanical engineering and plastics technology, or mechatronics.

English language skills at level B2 are required. Accepted proof includes TOEFL iBT 72+, IELTS 6.0+, TOEIC 785+, Cambridge B2 First grade C or higher, TELC English B2 or higher, PTE Academic 60+, Trinity ISE II or higher, UNIcert II or higher, or a completed degree in English.

German requirements

German A2 according to CEFR. Accepted tests: Deutsches Sprachdiplom (DSD) level 1 (CEFR A2/B1) or higher, Goethe Certificate A2 or higher, TELC Certificate A2 or higher, ÖSD Certificate A2 or higher, DTZ Level A2/B1, DSH 1 or higher, TestDaF, German language courses completed at a university in Germany worth at least 4 credit points at level A2 or higher, Certificate of an assessment to determine eligibility, completed German-language Bachelor's or Master's degree, completed German studies at home and abroad, German at level A in the final certificate of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Native German-speaking applicants are exempt.

Accepted bachelor fields

A first degree equivalent to a German bachelor's degree with an overall grade of good or higher is required in electrical engineering and information technology, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, plastics engineering, or an equivalent technical, economic, or engineering degree obtained in Germany or abroad.
