Sustainable Textiles (MEng)

This master's programme addresses the global textile industry's challenges around responsible production, environmental protection, legal regulation, and labour rights. It combines advanced textile-engineering study with sustainability-focused management and an internship plus master's thesis.

Academic requirements

Sufficient knowledge means that you achieved at least 60 credits (or their equivalent) in textile technology and 20 credits in (textile) chemistry during your first degree.

Minimum GPA

Minimum grade 2.5 according to the German grading system.

English requirements

TOEFL minimum 90 or IELTS 6.5 or above.

German requirements

Basic language skills in German, proven by official test score documents – minimum A1 level according to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

Accepted bachelor fields

Bachelor's degree or similar in engineering or natural sciences providing sufficient knowledge in textile technology and textile chemistry from an accredited university, with at least 210 ECTS or equivalent; sufficient knowledge means at least 60 credits in textile technology and 20 credits in (textile) chemistry.
