North American Studies (MA)

Four-semester English-taught master's programme exploring literatures and cultures of North America (USA and Canada) from transnational and interdisciplinary perspective, covering literary studies, cultural studies, media, and theoretical approaches with integrated internship.

English requirements

English language skills required at level C1 of Common European Framework: TOEFL min. 95 points (Internet-based) or IELTS 7.0, or documentation that BA programme was taught in English. All work done in English (100%).

German requirements

Not required but highly recommended for organisational matters and everyday life.

Accepted bachelor fields

University degree in literary and culturally oriented study programme with at least 30 credit points in Anglophone Studies and 15 credit points focusing on North American issues.
