The Heidelberg Biosciences International Graduate School (HBIGS) focuses on the highly dynamic research areas which are especially strong in Heidelberg and are at the forefront of biosciences: developmental biology, infectious diseases, molecular and cellular biology, molecular biotechnology and biophysics, molecular plant sciences, neurosciences, structural biology and biochemistry, systems biology, bioinformatics, and mathematical biology, molecular medicine.
