Computer Science for Industry and Business (MSc COSIB)

A one-year continuing-education master's programme in computer science for applicants with a STEM background who want to reorient or specialise for the job market. For international participants, the programme also serves as an entry route into the German IT labour market.

Academic requirements

final grade, proof of relevant prior knowledge in the field of computer science and mathematics, proof of at least one year of relevant professional experience, sufficient English language skills, points system (at least 20 out of 35 points)

Minimum GPA

Final grade of at least 2.5 on the German grading scale.

English requirements

CEFR B2 English, proven for example by TOEFL iBT 90 or IELTS 6.5.

German requirements

German language skills are not an admission requirement, but a solid basic knowledge is recommended referring to the compulsory internship (mostly) in a German-speaking company. We recommend that you have already acquired basic German language skills at a completed level A2/starting B1.

Accepted bachelor fields

A German or international academic degree in a STEM field, relevant work experience, and prior knowledge in computer science and mathematics required by the admission procedure.
