Information Systems (MSc)

Theory- and practice-oriented master's in information systems that combines informatics, mathematics, and business-oriented digital-systems thinking within a structured aptitude-based curriculum.

Minimum GPA

No fixed minimum GPA is published; grade is one component of the aptitude assessment.

English requirements

Proof of sufficient English is required through TUM-recognized proof, typically TOEFL iBT 88, IELTS Academic 6.5, Cambridge CAE/CPE, PTE Academic 65, or equivalent recognized proof.

German requirements

Proof of German knowledge is not needed for the application.

Accepted bachelor fields

A bachelor's degree in Information Systems (Wirtschaftsinformatik) equivalent to the TUM B.Sc. Information Systems. Strong foundations in informatics and mathematics are required; if more than 14 credits are missing in the prerequisite module groups, the degree is not considered equivalent.

Yes for applicants with an undergraduate degree from China, India, or Vietnam.
