Structural Engineering

The bachelor's programme in Structural Engineering covers the planning, construction, manufacture, and operation of structures across structural, civil, transportation, and hydraulic engineering. It combines core construction subjects with geotechnics, construction management, quality management, economic planning, and international construction law.

Minimum GPA

For foreign applicants needing the special eligibility examination: mathematics in the last three years of prior education with a grade of 2.0 or better.

English requirements

English at CEFR B1 on enrolment; B2 in both English and German is required for graduation in the ISE bachelor's programme. UDE states proof can be provided via certificates such as TOEFL, IELTS, or Medium of Instruction.

German requirements

B1 at enrollment, B2 for graduation.

Accepted bachelor fields

General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), a relevant subject-linked university entrance qualification, a certificate recognised as equivalent by law or the competent state authority, or vocational qualification via entrance examination. Foreign applicants may need to prove ability to study through a special examination.
