Applied Geosciences specialisation in Geoengineering combining engineering geology, hydrogeology, and applied geophysics for challenges such as geothermal development, groundwater protection, soil remediation, and landslide-related issues.

Admission Requirements

Minimum GPA: No fixed minimum GPA is published.
English requirements: Proof of English language skills according to RWTH Aachen University regulations is required at enrolment rather than at application.
German requirements: German is not necessary, but we strongly advise students to obtain basic knowledge of the language for everyday use. German language courses offered at RWTH Language Center (fully funded for international students of the Department of Earth Sciences and Geography).
Accepted bachelor fields: Requires a bachelor's background in geosciences, earth sciences, geology, mineralogy, crystallography, or a comparable geoscientific field.
