Nanoscience (Master of Science)

The master's programme in Nanoscience provides research-oriented study in material sciences with strong foundations in chemistry and interdisciplinary links to physics. Students prepare for modern nanoscience research and can continue into doctoral studies in chemistry or physics.

Academic requirements

Applicants with a higher education degree obtained in a country that is not a member of the Bologna Process have to take the GRE test (official score sheet; at least 150 points in Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning Score).

English requirements

English at CEFR B2, proven for example by TOEFL iBT 72, IELTS 5.0, Cambridge First Certificate in English, or other officially listed equivalents.

Accepted bachelor fields

Academic degree in chemistry or a closely related field with a clear tie to chemistry, including documentation of course work and ECTS.

Graduates can work in measurement and sensor technology, optical and medical devices, electronics, ceramic and chemical industries, metal engineering, material development, and quality control or materials-testing institutes; a doctorate is usually required for senior R&D roles.
