Master's in English and American Literary and Cultural Studies

This interdisciplinary MA explores English-speaking literatures and cultures through literary and cultural studies, advanced language practice, and independent research. The programme also includes a mandatory international internship and study-abroad component in an English-speaking environment.

Minimum GPA

2.3 or equivalent in the German grading system.

English requirements

Advanced English at C1 level; accepted examples include Cambridge Advanced grades A/B, Cambridge Proficiency grades A-C, recognised C1 certificate, or IELTS 7.0. German is not required for admission.

German requirements

Knowledge of the German language is not required for this programme.

Accepted bachelor fields

Bachelor's degree in English and American Studies; applicants from related fields are also welcome, though they may need to complete additional courses before beginning the programme.
