Hydrogen Technology Engineering (transnational)

A transnational bachelor's programme in hydrogen engineering delivered jointly by THWS and the German Jordanian University. Students begin in Jordan and finish in Germany, preparing for the design, construction, and operation of hydrogen plants and systems along the hydrogen value chain.

Academic requirements

Passed pre-year courses or German higher entrance qualification (every qualification must be checked individually, depending on the educational background of each student).

English requirements

English language proficiency of at least B2; Campus GATE additionally states TOEFL at least 72 as one accepted threshold in the programme FAQ.

German requirements

Demonstrating B1-level proficiency in the German language is mandatory through submission of passed German courses at GJU throughout the pre-year for enrolment at THWS. Before the fifth semester, demonstrating B2-level proficiency in the German language is mandatory through submission of passed German courses at GJU.

Accepted bachelor fields

Not applicable for a bachelor's programme; admission requires proof of a general university entrance qualification, a subject-related university entrance qualification, an advanced technical college entrance qualification, or an equivalent legally recognised entrance qualification. Campus GATE states that most prospective students are admitted through successful completion of the GJU pre-year.

Graduates will have a sound understanding of the design, construction, and operation of hydrogen facilities. The German university degree facilitates potential continued residency in Germany for an initial period of one and a half years, enabling graduates to seek employment and organise their entry into a career as engineers in a company.
