Chinese Politics and Society

This non-consecutive master's programme is for graduates in social sciences who want to add China expertise to their profile. It combines Chinese politics and society, social-science methods, language training from beginner level, and an integrated semester at Peking University.

Academic requirements

Applicants whose final mark from their BA programme is below 2.2 (German marking system) but above 3.2 may be invited for an assessment test

English requirements

The official programme page requires very good English at B2 level. The page names proof via the school-leaving certificate with English grade 'Befriedigend' or better.

Accepted bachelor fields

Requires a completed bachelor's degree in a social-science discipline such as political science, sociology, anthropology, international relations, or an equivalent field. The official programme page also states that at least 150 ECTS must be documented at the time of application.
