Ethics of Textual Cultures

Interdisciplinary master's programme combining literary studies, linguistics, cultural history, theology, and philosophy to examine ethics, textuality, and culture across historical and contemporary contexts. FAU notes that the elite programme will be discontinued with effect from winter semester 2026/27.

level DSH 2 (certificate required); Applicants whose study qualification was not obtained at a German-speaking institution must provide proof of C1 level German.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject or at least 140 ECTS. The DAAD record specifies relevant backgrounds such as German Studies, Philosophy, Theology/Religious Studies, Cultural Studies, History, Comparative Literature, or related humanities and social-science subjects with a strong focus on texts and ethics.
