Environmental Governance

MEG is an interdisciplinary English-taught master's that trains students to address environmental resource use and sustainable development from local to global levels. The programme combines environmental, social, legal, economic, and governance perspectives.

Minimum GPA

Minimum bachelor GPA equivalent to 2.5 or better in the German grading system.

English requirements

Applicants need English at CEFR C1. The official MEG requirements page accepts TOEFL iBT at least 95, IELTS Academic at least 7, Cambridge CEA or CPE at C1, or Pearson Academic at least 76. Native English speakers and certain applicants who completed all university studies in English in qualifying English-speaking countries are exempt.

Accepted bachelor fields

Applicants need a well-above-average bachelor's degree or equivalent in fields such as environmental management, environmental sciences, agricultural or forest sciences, geography, political sciences, sociology, law, economics, ethnology, international cooperation, development studies, nature conservation, land-use planning, or natural resource management.
