Integrative Research Institute on Transformations of Human-Environment Systems Graduate Programme (IRI THESys)

Interdisciplinary graduate programme at IRI THESys focused on transformations in human-environment systems, especially under climate change and related societal pressures.

Academic requirements

1. Doctoral researchers must be enrolled at a university with a thesis topic within the scope of at least one of the research areas of IRI THESys. 2. Your supervisor is an IRI THESys member. 3. Funding is secured for min. two years.

No fixed minimum GPA is published beyond the requirement for an excellent master's degree.

English requirements

Very good English language skills are required.

German requirements

German language skills are not required.

Accepted bachelor fields

Requires an excellent master's degree in agricultural sciences, earth and environmental sciences, ecology, economics, geography, philosophy, political science, social anthropology, or a related discipline.
