Two-stage aptitude assessment: document scoring, then written tests of 60 minutes in five areas (higher maths, engineering mechanics, automatic control, information technology, electrical engineering), 2-3 March 2027 at Garching. GRE General (Quantitative 164 or more, Analytical Writing 4.0 or more, institution code 7806, department code 5199) or GATE at the qualifying score is mandatory for bachelor degrees from India; stated on the faculty page only.

English requirements

TOEFL iBT 88 or IELTS 6.5, or English as language of instruction in at least 50% of the bachelor; proof due by the deadline.
