Mechatronics and Robotics

This bilingual bachelor's programme combines mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and informatics for modern mechatronic and robotic systems. The first study phase is taught in English and the later specialist phase mainly in German, with an integrated industry internship and project-based thesis.

Academic requirements

General requirement is that an applicant holds an academic qualification that would enable him or her to study the chosen subject in his or her home country. International applicants who do not hold a German university entrance qualification should submit their qualifications to the 'Studienkolleg – Center for International Students' in Konstanz.

Minimum GPA

Above-average bachelor's degree required; no specific numeric minimum published.

English requirements

For the English-language basic study period, non-native speakers must prove English with TOEFL 550 paper / 213 computer / 79 internet, Cambridge CAE minimum C, TOEIC minimum 730, IELTS 6.0, Oxford Test of English minimum 120 with B2 in all components, or evidence of at least one year in an English-speaking country through study, work references, or comparable documents.
