Programme Overview

Structured joint doctorate in Law and Economics combining coursework and research across the EDLE partner-university network, including a Hamburg phase and an empirical legal studies track.

Admission Requirements

Academic requirements: Preference will be given to candidates with a background in law and economics.
Minimum GPA: No fixed minimum GPA is published on the current official programme page.
English requirements: If the applicant's native language is not English, the reviewed official page accepts Cambridge CAE grades A or B, Cambridge CPE grades A to C, IELTS Academic minimum 7, or TOEFL iBT minimum 95. Applicants who studied for at least 2.5 years in the UK, USA, Canada except Quebec, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or South Africa do not need to submit an English certificate.
Accepted bachelor fields: Applicants need a diploma or a bachelor and master degree in law or economics or a relevant field, or an equivalent university degree (second cycle qualification). The reviewed official page also states that previous knowledge in Law and Economics is required.
