Global History

Master's programme in global history that studies present-day social, political, cultural, and economic phenomena in global and historical perspective through core modules, area expertise, and specialisation tracks.

Academic requirements

Admission may be subject to conditions, such as completing particular modules from the Bachelor's programme in History at the University of Bayreuth within one year for non-History degrees.

Minimum GPA

Final grade of 2.5 or better on the German grading scale.

English requirements

English at B2 CEFR is required. The programme allows the certificate to be submitted within the first semester.

German requirements

Language certificate GERMAN level A1 (may be handed in within the first year)

Requires a bachelor's degree in history or a closely related field such as political science, ethnology, or cultural studies.
