MA British Studies

Interdisciplinary postgraduate programme in British studies combining historical, political, cultural, and literary perspectives on Britain in a four-semester structure.

Academic requirements

Admission is highly competitive. Successful applicants with a Bachelor's tend to have graduated within the top 10-15% of their class, and with a Master's within the top 15-20%.

Minimum GPA

No fixed minimum GPA is published.

English requirements

Applicants need English equivalent to C1. Proof can be provided by a recognised certificate, or applicants may be exempt if they completed an English-medium undergraduate degree of at least three years and 180 ECTS or are native speakers.

German requirements

A working knowledge of German is highly recommended.
