Mathematics

Flexible master's programme that deepens mathematical knowledge and allows broad individual specialization across areas such as algebra, analysis, dynamical systems, geometry, visualization, modelling, and mathematical physics.

Academic requirements

Applicants are qualified if they can show proof of academic achievements that are equivalent to the qualification obtained in the Bachelor's degree programme in mathematics offered by TUM and that meet the requirements of the respective Master's degree programme.

Minimum GPA

No fixed minimum GPA is published; admission is based on aptitude assessment.

English requirements

Proof of sufficient English is required through TUM-recognized proof, typically TOEFL iBT 88, IELTS Academic 6.5, Cambridge CAE/CPE, PTE Academic 65, or equivalent recognized proof.

Accepted bachelor fields

A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable degree programme.
