GAUSS (Georg-August University School of Science) is the structured doctoral training school for mathematics, natural sciences, and life sciences at the University of Göttingen. It provides the organisational and regulatory umbrella for more than 1,500 doctoral candidates across five faculties and interdisciplinary programmes such as the Göttingen Graduate Center for Neurosciences, Biophysics and Molecular Biosciences (GGNB). Research partners include local Max Planck Institutes, the Leibniz Institute for Primate Research, and the German Aerospace Center.
