Master Biosciences / Master Biowissenschaften

Master Biosciences groups eight specialised bioscience master's programmes with tailor-made curricula. Students specialise in a chosen field and work in leading-edge research groups at the University of Wurzburg or partner universities.

Academic requirements

Proof of experimental laboratory experience, preferably by an experimental thesis comprising a minimum of 10 ECTS.

Minimum GPA

Average grade of 3.0 or better in the Bavarian grading system.

English requirements

Accepted proof includes TOEFL 570 paper / 240 computer / 90 iBT, IELTS 6.5 or better, Cambridge CAE, a bachelor's degree from an English-teaching university, or equivalent approval by the Faculty of Biology admission committee.

German requirements

Certificate at level B2 (Goethe Institute).

Accepted bachelor fields

Applicants need a Bachelor of Science in Biology or a programme that fulfils the Subject Specific Criteria for Bioscientific Study Programmes (Fachkanon Biologie), including the required biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biostatistics background.
