European Master's in Migration and Intercultural Relations

This English-language Erasmus Mundus joint master's programme focuses on migration studies, intercultural relations, empirical methods, and transdisciplinary approaches. Students study across multiple partner universities in Europe, Africa, and Asia over four semesters.

Academic requirements

The EMMIR programme builds upon a first degree such as a Bachelor's degree (or an equivalent qualification) in a field related to migration studies. Applicants have to document knowledge of migration studies, intercultural relations and empirical methods. Your last degree obtained should not be older than five years.

English requirements

Applicants whose native language is not English or whose undergraduate instruction was not in English must demonstrate English proficiency by the application deadline. The official EMMIR requirements page states that documented English-medium higher education, documented professional work in an English-language setting, or English tests such as TOEFL or IELTS are accepted, and language certificates are considered valid for 2 years.
