Graduate School Life Science Munich: From Molecules to Systems (LSM)

Internationally structured doctoral programme in the life sciences at LMU, covering biological disciplines from molecules to systems and combining research training with coursework, entrepreneurship, ethics, and public-outreach elements.

Academic requirements

Requirements for the four-year Bachelor's degree include the following: a written thesis and written or oral final examinations. It is not necessary to hold the respective degree at the time of application. However, the degree must have been awarded before the doctoral project commences.

Minimum GPA

No fixed minimum GPA is published.

English requirements

Applicants must be fluent in written and spoken English. TOEFL or IELTS proof is strongly advised but not compulsory.

Accepted bachelor fields

Requires a master's degree, or an honours bachelor's degree, in biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, biophysics, biotechnology, medicine, or another closely related life-science discipline.
