Applied Geosciences specialisation focused on energy and mineral resources, with practice-oriented training in exploration, production, sequestration, storage, and resource-related electives.

Admission Requirements

Minimum GPA: No fixed minimum GPA is published.
English requirements: Proof of English language skills according to RWTH Aachen University regulations is required at enrolment rather than at application.
German requirements: German is not necessary, but we strongly advise students to obtain basic knowledge of the language for everyday use. Therefore, we offer German language courses at the RWTH Language Center. At the moment, those courses are fully funded for international students of the Department of Earth Science and Geography.
Accepted bachelor fields: Requires a bachelor's background in geosciences, earth sciences, geology, mineralogy, crystallography, or a comparable field.
