Agricultural Economics (AgEcon)

A research- and methods-oriented English-language master's programme focused on the economic, agricultural, and development-policy relationships between the agricultural and food economy, the environment, and rural areas. Sustainability, growth, and social justice are central themes, especially in international and development contexts.

Academic requirements

Result of the AgEcon pre-test: It is compulsory to complete the test before the application deadline, but the test results will not influence the chances of admission.

Minimum GPA

Above-average bachelor's grade; if the final grade is not above average, special aptitude must be proven under the admission regulations.

English requirements

TOEFL iBT 90, IELTS Academic 6.5, or Duolingo 125.

Accepted bachelor fields

An above-average bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences or Business Administration and Economics, or a related programme, with at least 180 ECTS. The official application page also requires at least 6 ECTS in microeconomics and statistics.

Students acquire the analytical skills and the necessary understanding of political contexts to be able to work in governmental and non-governmental organisations, international organisations, and the private sector.
