MArburg University Research Academy (MARA)

MARA (MArburg University Research Academy) is a university-wide institution at Philipps-Universität Marburg that supports doctoral candidates and postdoctoral scholars across all disciplines and faculties. It does not grant its own degree; doctoral candidates are supervised by Marburg faculty and their degree is conferred by Philipps-Universität Marburg. MARA provides workshops, seminars, career advisory services, networking events, and funding opportunities (travel assistance, conference organisation grants, doctoral completion scholarships, habilitation scholarships, student assistant funds). Events and consultation are offered in German and English.

Doctoral candidates and postdoctoral scholars enrolled at or affiliated with Philipps-Universität Marburg. Entry to the doctoral programme itself requires a Master's degree or equivalent in the relevant discipline.
