Programme Overview

Selective four-year English-taught BA/BSc in Liberal Arts and Sciences that combines a shared core, one of four majors, and a flexible electives area for interdisciplinary study, study abroad, internships, and independent projects.

Admission Requirements

Academic requirements: University entrance qualification: school leaving diploma and transcript of grades; Study-orientation test, e.g. the LAS Online Study Choice Assistant (OSA)

English requirements: The reviewed official application page states that applicants need English at CEFR B2 level or above. The reviewed official language-certificate page recognises, for example, IELTS Academic 5.5-6.5, TOEFL iBT 72-94, PTE Academic 59-75, OOPT 60-79, Cambridge FCE or higher, TOEIC 785 in listening/reading plus 160 in speaking and 150 in writing, or equivalent proof accepted by the University of Freiburg.
German requirements: Students who do not speak German must learn German up to an A2 level (CEFR) as part of their LAS studies.
