Global East Asia (MAGEA)

Research-oriented, English-taught MA programme on the historical and contemporary global entanglements of East Asia. It combines Chinese, Japanese, and Korean studies with interdisciplinary methods from political, economic, historical, and cultural analysis.

English requirements

English at C1 CEFR is required unless the previous degree was taught in English. Accepted proofs include IELTS 7.0, TOEFL iBT 95 with at least 25 in writing, Cambridge 180, UNIcert III or higher, PTE Academic 76, or equivalent.

Accepted bachelor fields

Requires a first university degree of at least 180 ECTS with at least 30 ECTS in East Asian Studies and/or Chinese, Japanese, or Korean Studies, excluding language training.
