Human Rights

An interdisciplinary, English-taught MA that examines human rights from political, philosophical, and legal perspectives. The programme covers foundations, non-discrimination, specialised human-rights topics, methods, and either a full thesis or a thesis combined with a mandatory internship.

Academic requirements

If your university degree is based on less than three and a half years of study, you may be accepted on the basis of a special procedure determining additional qualifications.

Minimum GPA

No fixed minimum GPA is published on the current official programme page.

English requirements

English at C1 level (CEFR). The official FAU page states applicants must provide proof via a recognized test such as IELTS, TOEFL, UNIcert, or Cambridge.

German requirements

There is no requirement for German language skills.
