Dresden Leibniz Graduate School (DLGS) in Sustainability Sciences

Three-year doctoral programme (6 semesters) in sustainability sciences, conducted in English. Joint programme of Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER) and TU Dresden. Includes coursework, research, and dissertation.

Academic requirements

Research proposal within scope that clearly addresses the annual topic (only when applying for the current call), addresses the scientific profile and remit of DLGS, aligns with IOER research areas (one or several), identifies suitable supervisors (professors) at the TUD/IOER.

English requirements

TOEFL PBT 570, CBT 250, iBT 100 or IELTS 7.0.

German requirements

ONLY applicants for transdisciplinary research must demonstrate German language proficiency (C1 level) for working with diverse local stakeholders.

Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., sustainability sciences, environmental studies, urban/regional studies, etc.).
