Materials Engineering

This bachelor's programme focuses on designing, developing, and applying innovative materials for industries such as aerospace, automotive, healthcare, and energy. It can be started in English and completed in German, combining engineering fundamentals with materials-focused study and internships.

Academic requirements

A general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification is required. A pre-study internship ('Vorpraxis') with a minimum length of eight weeks is required.

English requirements

English at level B2 is required. Accepted English proof includes TOEFL iBT 72+, IELTS 6.0+, TOEIC 785+, Cambridge B2 First grade C or higher, TELC English B2 or higher, PTE Academic 60+, Trinity ISE II or higher, UNIcert II or higher, or a completed degree in English.

German requirements

German A2 for entry into English version; proof of B2 German by beginning of fourth semester.

Accepted bachelor fields

University entrance qualification is required. The curriculum also requires a pre-study internship of at least 8 weeks.
