European Studies and European Legal Studies (MA/LLM)

Interdisciplinary one-year master's programme in European studies combining law, economics, political science, and history, leading to either an MA or LLM depending on the participant's academic background.

Minimum GPA

Above-average bachelor's degree required; no specific numeric minimum published.

English requirements

English proficiency must be proven by TOEFL iBT 100, IELTS 7.0, or an English-taught degree. Native English speakers are exempt according to the current official admission requirements page.

Accepted bachelor fields

Degree with above-average results amounting to 240 ECTS from a German or foreign higher education institution, primarily in law, economics, or political science. Applicants with a 180-ECTS degree must prove the missing 60 ECTS through additional above-average achievements relevant to the programme, such as practical experience, further academic work, or publications.
