European Master's Programme in Language and Communication Technologies (LCT)

LCT is an international Erasmus Mundus master's focused on language and communication technologies, natural language processing, speech technology, and related AI-driven language applications. Students study across consortium universities in a strongly research-oriented and multilingual environment.

Academic requirements

1) A personal statement written in English must be added to the online application. The statement should be 2,500 characters at most, focusing on: your reasons for applying your areas of interest in relation to the various disciplines that contribute to the methods of language and communication technologies (language technology, computational and theoretical linguistics, and computer science) your preferences for the host and partner universities 2) a current curriculum vitae (CV) written in English 3) certified copies of: your Bachelor's degree certificates attesting to the fulfilment of the language requirements 4) transcript of academic records, if applicable, translated into English 5) letters of recommendation written in English (Referees should upload the letters directly to the application database or send them securely sealed by mail.)

English requirements

The official LCT pages require a very good command of English. Accepted proofs listed are TOEFL iBT 95, Cambridge Proficiency pass, Cambridge Advanced grade B, IELTS 7.0, or native-speaker status.

Accepted bachelor fields

The official LCT pages require a bachelor's degree in computer science, linguistics, computational linguistics, information technology, mathematics, or a related field.
