Metallurgy and Metal Forming

This bachelor's programme teaches fundamental engineering knowledge for the production and processing of metallic materials, from ore extraction and metallurgical refinement to continuous casting and forming. It covers steel and non-ferrous metal technologies together with hot and cold forming process chains.

Academic requirements

General university entrance qualification (Abitur) or special university entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife or equivalent).

Minimum GPA

For foreign applicants needing the special eligibility examination: mathematics in the last three years of prior education with a grade of 2.0 or better.

English requirements

English at CEFR B1 on enrolment; B2 in both English and German is required for graduation in the ISE bachelor's programme. UDE states proof can be provided via certificates such as TOEFL, IELTS, or Medium of Instruction.

German requirements

B1 at enrollment; applicants without German-speaking study qualification must demonstrate B2 by registration for German-language modules. B2 required for graduation.
